PHARMACY / PHARMTECH is a major exhibition of pharmaceutical products and technology.

PHARMACY / PHARMTECH has grown out of the seventeen-year experience of the TIHE healthcare exhibition, the largest in Uzbekistan and one of the largest in Central Asia.

PHARMACY / PHARMTECH will provide a meeting place for drug manufacturers and suppliers of equipment, ingredients and packaging for the pharmaceutical industry, and will bring together industry professionals from the Central Asian region.

DEVELOPMENT OF PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY IN UZBEKISTAN

In 2011-2015, "It’s planning to realize over 33 investment projects for the launch of new and modernization of existing pharmaceutical industries totaling over $390,4 million.”
Over the past 20 years of pharmaceutical industry of Uzbekistan grew from 2 up to 117 enterprises supplying the domestic market for more than a third of drugs. It’s established mass production of more 1000 names of medicines comprising 94 pharmacotherapeutical of 30 unit dosage forms. Export of pharmaceutical products rose over $ 8 million, and 130 names of medicines registered in 9 countries around the world

THE CENTRAL ASIAN PHARMACEUTICAL MARKET

Uzbekistan. Nowadays there are over 120 manufacturers of pharmaceuticals and products for medical purpose in Uzbekistan, that producing 1200 kinds of medical products. Over 30 kinds of new original pharmaceutical preparations were developed by Uzbek scientists during last years. Today over 4,500 preparations are registered in Uzbekistan. Among them over 2,000 preparations are manufactured by foreign pharmaceutical companies, about 1,300 of medicaments are manufactured by producers from the CIS countries, 250 names of substances and means for diagnostics are registered, over 300 kinds of medicines are producing in Uzbekistan. Over 80 representative offices of foreign pharmaceutical companies are operating in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The largest suppliers of pharmaceutical products to Uzbekistan are Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Switzerland, India, Poland, France, Czech Republic and the USA.

Kazakhstan. The pharmaceutical industry in Kazakhstan is a growing, with a total of 79 manufacturers of medical and pharmaceutical products, including small manufacturers of medical goods.
There are about 6000 drug product types in Kazakhstan’s pharmaceutical market. Western and Eastern European countries account for an increasing share in the volume of imports in physical terms. The top ten suppliers of pharmaceutical products to Kazakhstan, which between them account for 68.6% of drug imports in value terms and 54.5% in value physical terms, are: Germany, France, Russia, India, Hungary, Belgium, Italy, Slovenia, Austria and the United States.

Kyrgyz Republic. Today, more than 900 business entities are registered in Kyrgyzstan’s healthcare sector, within which 2717 pharmaceutical organisations and 38 drug manufacturers operate. Over 97% of medicines and medical products are imported, with 60% coming from Russia.

Visitors of PHARMACY/PHARMTECH 2011: Over 6 927 qualified specialists went through computer registration during 4 days of the exhibitions of the Healthcare Week.
Total number of visits: 8 743.
Specialists from CIS countries, all regions of Uzbekistan and other Central-Asian Republics (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan) visited the exhibition.
